the four clowns were an a capella group that developed a local following in the east st louis area in the early sixties. agent monte jackson signed them and brought them to reno in 1964 but disagreements between jackson and the group and between members of the group, particularly between twin brothers eddie and joe martin, and tenor frankie fenedetti, soon broke out and the group disbanded. recent efforts to track down members of the group have so far been unsuccessful.
